@just bee I for one would love to see Richard Madden give it a try! Whomever comes in will have to make the role their own, and that will hard to do, but can be done obviously. Apparently Idris Elba was in the top 3, but he truned it down flat!!!

Craig played James Bond. 

James Bond DIED in the last movie.  The character of James Bond is gone

but the number 007 is still there.

Lashana Lynch was 007 when James Bond returned to M. 

So, 007 needs to be replaced with a strong character and new name, not James Bond.

Lashana Lynch was good in her role.  For the last mission Lynch told M she thought Craig should act as lead agent 007.

This is my interpretation concerning the matter.

They should quit while they ahead. Why would they have had Bond sacrifice himself in the last movie if it wasn't going to be the final one?  Sean Connery will aways be the quintessential James Bond imho...Craig in "Skyfall" was better than I expected, but he still wasn't James Bond to me. They need to follow through with the ending of the last movie and just end the franchise. It seems if they are having such a hard time finding interest among actors to do the part, that should be a signal it is time to move on. Let peole remember 007 as a great character and don't screw it up with a new, modernized version. Cringeworthy!

I never thought the women they picked to play Bond girls were anything special.  Most of them were foreigners and I couldn't understand what they were saying.

The last gal in Craig's last movie wasn't even pretty and was young enough to be at least his daughter.

Shirley Bassey sung the best song.

The bad guy with the messed up face who played the singer Queen

in that bio movie I couldn't understand a thing he was saying. Even though I went to the movies to see the premeire I had to buy the movie to understand what his problem was and put on closed caption.

I'll Google Bond Girls and see if any of them were above merely pretty.

only found one who was the best Eunice Gayson who played Sylvia Trench.

Some of those chicks were down right unattractive. Must have had some

inside connections. I mean they were plain Janes.  LOL
