Great film. Does anyone know who plays their son? Sure looks like Tommy Rettig (Lassie).

Just Googled him and I think I am wrong.

Just saw this film last week, it was either or FXM or Screen Pix, not TCM. 

Rememeber in the I Love Lucy with Bill Holden, he mentioned that he had just finished filming The Country Girl.

Tried the IMDB thing-nothing comes. We own the movie and cast info is poor.

@Group 5 minus 1   Well, you were right about the Lassie connection!  It was Jon Provost who played Johnnie Elgin.

WOW! Jon Provost was 4 years old when he was in Country Girl.

 

The youngest actor to ever star in a television series. Which was Lassie.
