Who was an easy cash cow to tap? and then another cash cow comes by? what are you talking about?
Sharia law? You are listening to fear mongering....
This is not supposed to be political.... this is supposed to be about the title... YOUR TITLE.
How are you going off in this direction when we are talking about a famous man who is accused by more than 20 women of assaulting them, of penetrating them against their will, of drugging them, of taking away their conscious decision to copulate with them?
No it is not supposed to be political but every decision made in America now days is political of which we are living under
You seem to fail to see the bigger picture if this happens to Cosby it could happen to anyone, if these people felt that violated why didn't one of them speak up sooner the climate has been ripe for years for them to do it.... its not like Cosby had the arm of the mob behind him, or the organized street thugs.... but should he have step on one of their toes he sure would be in the line of scorch earth fire...

OMG, I can't believe this ...... several women HAVE spoken up, including in 2005 when he settled the case when 13 other women were willing to testify that he had also attacked them.
Clearly, you have a very selective memory ...... or have not taken the time to read up on the history of his attacks.
Don't defend people if you don't know all the facts in the matter.

Tinkrbl.... well said....
java.... this is not a national decision.... nobody votes on assaults... and when these women are not only originally assaulted but also assaulted in courts.... they think twice about reporting the incidents... plus they think hard about appearing...
Women have always been second class citizens.... we had to fight for the right to vote.... we should not have to fight for the right to not be assaulted.... and women should stand up for each other....

I am not the only one skeptical about these allegations
Cosby has never been charged with any crime relating to the allegations now swirling around him.
Goldberg said she is not convinced by the claims against Cosby. And the fact that he settled a 2005 lawsuit brought by another s...ex assault accuser, should not be seen as an admission of guilt.
'You have to really take a minute and follow the evidence - follow what happened,' she said. 'We'll know when we know. That's what I know.'

I investigated domestic violence and child abuse for more than 25 years. If the general public had any idea at all how rare it is for sexual abuse to go to court, much less get a conviction... they would be shocked. It is almost impossible to get a case heard in court...especially when it is rape or sexual abuse....The ole "he said, she said" thing comes into play...and with child sexual abuse - it is "adult said, child said" - think about that for a minute.... For far too many cases, unless you have a video of it happening(and that would be almost impossible), no one is charged...and remember I am talking about children who disclose in great detail.
When celebrities are involved, people sure want to blame the victim...But when I look at Bill Cosby, I DO see a rapist and I don't find it far fetched. This whole thing goes both ways....we don't want people to be labeled before it is heard in court...but shouldn't we also NOT want the limitations of our court system to allow the guilty to get away with it? In this case, he isn't ever going to even face jail time....there will never be a loss of freedom...I don't feel so bad about the fact that he is being called out about his behavior. He is a public figure and subject to public opinion. He is getting off easy if even part of what these women says is true.
Ita..I saw many victims at a women's safehome..they weren't going after their husband, boyfriend etc..they were terrified!

The problem with these kinds of cases is how do you prove you didn't do something? Unless your life is completely recorded 24/7 you can't prove exactly what did or didn't happen. That's the situation Bill Cosby finds himself in. How do you prove you didn't rape someone?
There was a recent case in the United Kingdom where a woman (Astria Berwick) claimed a cab driver (Mohammed Asif) had raped her at knifepoint. He was extremely fortunate in that he had an audio recording app on his smartphone running the whole time that exonerated him and ended up getting her imprisoned. Had he not had his phone going it would have been his word against her word and chances are he'd have been convicted and in jail instead of her.
The Clinton presidency saw multiple women come forward and make claims against the president very similar to the claims made against Bill Cosby. I think there were ten or twelve who came forward at one time or another. None of them had any real proof of his actions until Miss Lewinski and her blue dress showed up. Even then with that proof in hand the claims of the others have been largely ignored and the Lewinski affair dismissed as being consensual.
We've seen cases where multiple claims of abuse have come down (the McMartin preschool case being one example) that were all later completely discredited. You can't say that because a lot of people are coming forward to claim abuse that the abuse had to have happened. It may have. It may have not. We don't know. There's a long history of people falsely accusing others of rape and abuse. In some cases the accuser eventually admits their story was a lie (The Brian Banks case being a recent one where his accuser finally admitted the truth after he'd spent five years in prison.) In most cases the accuser never admits they made it up.
There are also a ton of rapes and assaults that never get reported. That's an even bigger problem as the rapists then get to continue finding new victims. It's just that without some evidence pf some sort specifically tying Cosby to the assaults (emergency room visit by the women, rape kits, police report, drug tests, something other than just their word) it's hard to completely believe their claims. There have been too many false claims of rape through the years to make any unsubstantiated claim trustworthy.

This disgusting pig of a man has some nerve 'joking' about doping his victims. There is simply no excuse, I feel pity for his defenders.

Thank you gardenman, those are my views but you were able to zoom in pin it down the underlying trouble with these accusations...
And the sad part sometimes stories like this takes away from those who have been real victims of rape.

Where do you see anything that claims he beat someone up? I certainly didn't say that in my post you copied and neither did emmysmom. Apparently, you're just trying to get a rise out of people. Not sure why I was so careful to say I respected your opinion when you don't do the same. You just reply with comments that appear that you haven't bothered to fully read what others have to say.
