Since the final taped episode of Jeopardy! with Alex Trebek, the show is cycling through various guest hosts before a permanent replacement is chosen. Anderson Cooper, so far, is the lowest ratings the show has seen when run by a guest host. Another guest host whose ratings were low were Dr. Oz’s ratings of 5.2; before Anderson, those had been the lowest ratings Jeopardy! had seen in history.
The Wrap further reported that Ken Jennings is so far the highest-ranked guest host; his first week drew a score of 6.2 and his second week a score of 5.9. The only other close contenders were Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers and former Jeopardy! executive producer Mike Richards.

I’m glad to hear that. I wouldn’t want him to leave his current job.

@Spurt That really surprises me. I would have thought he'd be a favorite.

It's good to hear that Ken's ratings are holding up so well.
As for Anderson, I didn't make an effort to watch him on Jeopardy because he's already well-known and I felt like he'd be comfortable as host and would do a good job - i.e, no suspense there.

Not a Cooper fan. He was adequate but Oz was the worst.
I liked Aaron Rodgers a lot.

Cooper seemed out of place. I guess I am too used to him doing news only.

That was a special show with a good host. There is no way to recreate it.
It should be put out of its misery.

This doesn't surprise me, as Cooper tends to be a controversial figure. One either likes him or dislikes him, there seems to be no in-between.

Cooper was no where near the bottom of my list although I decided weeks ago that who hosts, including Alex who was wonderful in that role, doesn't matter a whole lot to me.
whether I enjoy any particular half hour has far more to do with the topics and the contestants than the host

I hear what your saying..your right, no one can compare with Alex...but the show can go on....I thought Id hate the Price Is Right without Bob Barker, but with time, Drew Carey has won me over....
