Re: Concerts You Would Have Loved To See

Great suggestions! I don’t go to a lot of concerts, but have tried to see some people just to say I did (like Diana Ross, for example.)

I think one one person I would have loved to see live was Michael Jackson. In fact, I remember thinking about looking into how to get tickets to the planned London shows before he passed away.

I also wish I could have seen Prince one more time (I did see him once.)

Tom Petty and Peter Frampton.

@apl_pi14 There is an annual music festival in my state every summer which I often attend but for some reason I did not go the year Tom Petty was a headliner.  I regret that now.

Re: Concerts You Would Have Loved To See

I have just recently discoved a band from the 70's that I never knew existed. The band was big in Europe and had a few hits here. They went by the name The Sweet and then just Sweet. Hits in America were Littly Willy, Fox on the Run, and Ball Room Blitz. The band whent through bubble gum pop, glam rock, hard rock, and heavy metal. A talented group that ended because the lead singer's throat was injured in an attack and  he had an alcohol problem. All members are deseased except for the lead guitarist. They were quite the band. Flashy bad boy type of band. Great harmonies and very talented. Seeing them in my youth would have been a great experience.

Re: Concerts You Would Have Loved To See

I've seen several, but the "greats" I've seen were Barbra Streisand, Neil Diamond and Frank Sinatra.

(The electricity in the auditorium with Sinatra was other-worldly!)

I also saw Phil Collins when he was just starting out and no one knew who he was yet.

Sorry I missed The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac and Elton John.   And others mentioned several times already.

I was just telling my husband recently how I would love to have seen Barbara Streisand before she retired!
