Didn't she learn a lesson from the Gregg Alleman fiasco?
What does her marriage to Gregg Allman have to do with anything agewise? Cher was only like a year older than Gregg & he had been married 7 times by the time he passed away & also had addiction problems for years. I think he had his own demons & problems & I doubt Cher was the problem there.
ETA: He was remarried 4 more times after they divorced until his death & Cher has never remarried.

She's happy. That's all that matters. She looks amazing.

That was 50 years ago or very close to it. How does that relate to this conversation?

I'm just here to say I have nothing to say...

Sonny's no longer here to pick her up and support her financially when her losing relationship fails and she needs monetary support.

Cher's worth $360 million and still in demand. Sonny was worth $2-$3 mil when he died. Sonny never archived the wealth and fame Cher did.
Agree. Cher was the talent and Cher was the one who became a superstar. If Sonny was alive today, he'd be doing those Medicare commercials.

I have no problem saying I find it EWWWWW... Don't care who he is or who she is. The woman is pushing 80 for heaven's sake, no matter how great she might look. While one could guess, I'm not sure what a 36 year old guy wants with an 80 year old woman, but I'm not thinking its eternal love. I've always been a Cher fan but will have to rethink that. This wouldn't surprise anyone were it Madonna, but somehow I thought Cher had a bit more dignity.

@Nonametoday Surely you mean that as a joke. Cher definitely doesn't need a Sonny or anyone to support her. She earned and deserved a fortune of her own. She is extremely talented.
And she looks quite happy with her new love. She lives in a different world than those on this board.

Well, my best guess is that since they are both in the music industry, they have a great deal in common and plenty to talk about. It blossomed from there.
A lot of people meet significant others at work or in business situations. This is nothing new.
I seriously doubt she's shopping around for a new husband, so her relationship criteria is different from, for instance, a woman whose biological clock is ticking loudly.
Not every relationship has to end in marriage, and not everyone is looking for "eternal love".

Cher had a relationship with a much-younger man that got a lot of press back in the '80s. Remember the "bagel boy" Rob Camilletti?

Funny, Sonny Bono was worth almost $4 million at the time of his death. Today, his estates' net worth is close to $15 million.
Every time any radio station plays "I Got You Babe" Sonny Bono's estate makes money.
You can't beat passive income! Strange world, huh?
