It's even worse to me when "women" co-sign the continued patriarchal constructs.  I'm sure it has a lot to do with how one was raised, but this not a situation that other cultures don't also involve themselves in.  There are many, many cultures where age doesn't matter and plays absolutely no part in securing a mate.  To those cultures who choose for their loved ones, to those who must meet certain criteria before marriage.  They are all social constructs and it doesn't mean anything!  I ain't judging nobody's love affairs so long as no one is going upside the head of the other.
