Then there's Warren. He hangs around with a death grip, but why would he? No one likes him, his rep stinks, and it seems that you need an outsider like Ollivia's brother to actually do business with the guy. His father may be a jerk as well, but he isn't as sleazy as Warren, and by staying with a company he doesn't even own, he looks like a child throwing a temper tanttrum.
This season is it for me.
I have huge issues with that, too. Warren knows everyone hates him, but he keeps going places he knows he isn't welcome. Moon's, the ball game, Olivia's house - why do that? When he showed up at Olivia's party and just started helping himself to things, that was it.
I'm sorry, why didn't she, a judge, just tell him he's trespassing and ask him to leave or be escorted away by the police she's dialing as she speaks? And so what if the other guy is her brother, have him hauled off, too.
The writing is incredibly forced and none of it makes any sense and hasn't since Jack's stupid son showed up in town. They have too many characters with nothing to do while they force other characters into bizarre situations that don't work.

She just pops in here and there and grins. The last episode, she was in the courtroom suing someone and grinning. Where did that come from?
I really like the Signed, Sealed and Delivered series and hope they bring it back. I tried very hard to like CC, but the plot lines are so weak and uninteresting.
This started as a movie series and they've decided to return to that format instead of the weekly series format. They had one last Christmas (Signed, Sealed, Delivered for Christmas) and another in June (Signed, Sealed, Delivered: From Paris with Love). The next one is just a few days away - Signed, Sealed, Delivered: Truth Be Told premiers on Sept 13.

"Forced" is a good word choice! Thank you.
And what ever happened to that couple they teased us with in the first episode of the season - the ones with the adopted daughter? I admit I have not paid extremely close attention, but I didn't see those folks again. Is this daughter supposed to be one of the girls living together? And somehow so many of the "daughter-age" girls seem so much alike - at least in personality.
I think we all expected more for a series that went to so much trouble to scout a fabulous location and find some "name" actors. I have to wonder whether the writers are inexperienced or whether they have too many restrictions placed upon them.

Don't get me started on Jack's son. He was a total leech, he stole money, and then he nearly goes to jail for Warren. Oh for pity's sake! The single worst writing for him though was when the ex came back threatening to tear him apart if he didn't allow her to move with their son. Oh yeah, that's the woman you want a relationship with, and in their final scene waiting for the boat, he's acting like nothing happened. Just like his daddy, and his ex.
Yup, Olivia should have tossed Warren and brother right off her property. She's far too nice.
The writers don't seem to know what to do, and they just throw people out there to see if they'll stick. Pure plot device over charracter and so frustrating to watch.

I really want to like Cedar Cove mainly because I have read the Cedar Cove books and enjoyed them. However, there is no doubt in my mind that this show needs new writers. I remember reading a few years ago that during Blue Bloods first season, Tom Selleck threatened to walk away if they didn't get some better plots. Somebody somewhere listened to him and now it is a good show. So perhaps somebody somewhere needs to get tough with the Cedar Cove writers because this has the makings of a good show that is being allowed to wander off into the wilderness.

I think every producer and writing team needs a large sign in their offices that says, "Jessie." That was a show with Christina Applegate, and it got great ratings right after Friends. It started out in season one being about a single mom who works in her dad's restaurant and is starting a relationship with her neighbor. The producers thought it had "turned" into a romantic comedy, and they wanted it to be about the struggles of a single mom. In season two she was in nursing school working at a university clinic, and the family/boyfriend were minimized. BAM, canceled when the fans bolted.

I too have tried to like this season of CC the only thing it's got going is the beautiful location, I liked Jack and Olivia in the beginning as a couple but now it seems all the chemistry between them is gone. Now the hold town with the exception of Moon is so wishey washy, they act like a town of zombies walking around aimlessly.

ITA. The location is just stunning.
i was disappointed, again, with last night's show. Grace planning her own shower, Olivia's daughter not getting it that her relationship should end, the stupidity with the car, the ADA not realizing that she's ruining her career, and nothing says "I love you" like living together.

Blahblah: I so agree with you about last night's show. It was so obvious last night just how weak the acting is in this series. Grace is just silly and inane and I do wonder why she and her daughter are even in the show. I also wonder about Olivia who, although she is a judge, is just weak, and why does she and Paul (the DA) have to giggle after every remark they make..? Also I cannot sort my way through those various young women who all look totally alike (why cast a lot of lookalikes..??) and I have lost track as to just who they are. And then last night the man who gave away his baby now suddenly comes back and yells at a young woman (I am guessing she is his long-lost daughter, but I'm not sure). Each scene is out of place and contrived and there are far too many actors with not enough to do which makes for a very "bitty" show. I do think there is a place for a show like this which could be very calming and nice, given the large number of reality or murder/violence/police chase shows we are faced with, but I am hoping the producers will take a long hard look over the next few months and, first and foremost, change their writers - and then some. Please, however, keep Dylan..!!

I admit: Last night's show annoyed me. Specifically, Grace annoyed me. First she was put off because neither her daughter nor Olivia was as excited about her upcoming marriage as she thought they should be. Then they colloborate to make everything special for her and she can't stop meddling.
