I think Bruce Boxleitner said he had 48 hours to decide if he wanted to do Cedar Cover and he had to cancel everything he was doing to get there.
Which in his case was probably not a lot! LOL!
IMO this season was better than Season 2, which I thought was the most boring.

@Pearlee - I think a 2 hour movie to wrap it up is a great idea, but doubt Hallmark would do it. Obviously they don't care that they left some storylines and the viewers hanging. These networks promote their new shows, the viewers get interested and then they get cancelled. Where would the networks be without loyal viewers?

The Facebook comments are amusing because the post was rather vague and didn't come out and say it's cancelled. They keep reposting the official "reply" that says "it won't be back for a 4th season..."

@VaBelle35, this is true, and they keep mentioning the other programs the actors of Cedar Cove will be so we can still see them. One mentioned was Beach House, which is also based on a book, I am not familiar with it, but sounds good!

Thanks for that info. I didn't read that far into the 2000+ comments. LOL
I know they are adapting Chesapeake Shores with Treat Williams. I bought the first book and I think I've read it already, it seems familiar to me, so I'm looking forward to it as I have enjoyed everything Treat Williams has ever been in.
Here is the info on Beach House. I'm not an Andie McDowell fan, which is why I couldn't get on board with Cedar Cove. I'll probably skip this one unless there is absolutely nothing new on.
====================================================
Hallmark Channel will develop a new original movie based on author Mary Alice Monroe’s novel The Beach House, the network said Monday.
The movie, which will air exclusively on Hallmark in 2016, will star Andie MacDowell (Cedar Cove) who will also serve as executive producer. The story follows a woman struggling through life who returns to her Southern roots and troubled family after an unusual request from her mother.
“The evocative prose of The Beach House is an exploration of strengths and weaknesses so eloquently portrayed in all of Mary Alice Monroe’s writing: agony against past mistakes, present pain and the hope of a brighter future,” said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming, Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries in a statement.
Here's the book info:
Known for her moving characters and emotional honesty, Mary Alice Monroe brings readers a beautifully rendered story that explores the fragile yet enduring bond between mothers and daughters.
Caretta Rutledge thought she'd left her Southern roots and troubled family far behind. But an unusual request from her mother—coming just as her own life is spinning out of control—has Cara heading back to the scenic Lowcountry of her childhood summers. Before long, the rhythms of the island open her heart in wonderful ways as she repairs the family beach house, becomes a bona fide "turtle lady" and renews old acquaintances long thought lost. But it is in reconnecting with her mother that she will learn life's most precious lessons—true love involves sacrifice, family is forever and the mistakes of the past can be forgiven.
