There was a show on for one season in 2007 that I loved called October Road.

I was so disappointed.

Most of the tv shows mentioned in this thread were not cancelled.  They ran its course w/solid finales.

1. Timless (I LOVED this show so much)

2. Prodigal Son

3. Person of Interest

4. Fringe

5. OZ

6. Pushing Daisies 

7. Jack and Bobby 

8. Now and Again (Eric Close, John Goodman, and Dennis Haysbert) This show was left on a cliffhanger when they just started to do this. There was talk of a movie to tie up loose ends that never materialized. 
I didn't watch, but Freaks and Geeks was canceled prematurely as was Star Trek back in the day.

Don't know if they were cacelled or just ran their course but Judging Amy and Family are two fo the ones that I miss.

There are way too many shows that are grim, violent,and graphic, such as

many FBIs, CSIs, murders, torture, and more of such programs.

I need more funny and entertaining shows, such as the ones I listed above, because "laughter is the best medicine."
