Re: COUNTRY MUSIC mini series on PBS

My husband and I have been watching the mini series, I have never been a fan, but the history of it is fascinating.

Must watched about Hank Williams.  I always knew he had a difficult life from hearing my father tell it , but boy he really had one sad ,  painful life .   What a fantastic talent ,  and songwriter,  just thinking of all the songs that could have been written had he lived beyond .   it's easy to see how he was so loved and how some still feel he was and always will be the king of country music.

by Dolly Parton....

yes!  This was all happening when i was in elementary school, and wasn’t listening.  She was a baby when she was touring all ove4 the country with the grownups.  Did she go to school?  But what a voice.  Patsy was gone by the time i was in junior high.

@sunshine45   Yes, and I had seen it before also, but still enjoy it so much.
