I saw the play 100 yrs. ago and didn't care for it (which is amazing because I love live performances AND cats).  Not interested in the movie at all.

Why are so many people referring to the song "MEMORY" as "Memories"?

It's a bit ludicrous.

@insomniac2 Making a song title error is "ludicrous"?? Really? How petty.

Whatever the title is, I still can't stand it!

Just watching the commercial for it that has been running gives me the willies.

I've seen the play twice and hated it both times.

Yes, I'm probably the ONLY person on earth that feels this way, but I'm confessing it here Cat LOL  And I adore cats in real life.

When Grisabella sings, I wanted to run screaming from the theater.

The costuming was grand, but that was it for me.

I don't know anyone who liked the play except me and that's only because I love cats.  My friends either fell asleep during the play or hated the story.  I cry every time I hear Memory because it makes me sad about all the cats who really live on the streets.  I rescued a feral and she's turned out to be the sweetest little girl in the world.

"Memory" is a brilliant song.

Try imagining it with the first word being "memories"--it just doesn't flow. That's why I'm amazed that so many posters have "remembered" it in the plural form.

Ludicrous.

@Jaspersmom

I adore cats...have had as many as 13 at one time, but that didn't make me like the play.

It just seemed so overblown and the premise of the play depressed me.

It didn't terrify me. I like the way the cats look in the video..that was one of the reasons I wanted to see it....I will watch it on TV, I still want to see it, I just don't want my husband to have to set through it
