Re: Bold & Beautiful getting tiresome

I have so many memories of when I was raising my two girls (I have 3 but the last is 5 years younger).

I'd put them down for a nap and watch my soaps.  It was a wonderful time.  I have always (and still do) love being a wife and grandmother.

I loved being a wife too.  I was able to do all of the things I'd dream about when I was a child and my life was so terrible.

@Annabellethecat66 You're right!  Also, I don't know what to say about Cheryl's acting.  LOL One of the dancers from Dance Moms said on her FaceBook page that she will be an intern at Forrester Creations.  She took a picture while she was on set.  Maybe B&B does not have a large budget to hire good seasoned actors.  If Katherine Kelly Lang and John McCook leave the show, I cannot imagine it lasting much longer.  It's like a revolving door.

@Annabellethecat66  You're right about changing the characters.  Both Ridge and Hope's personalities changed once they changed actors.  Eric is not the strong man he used to be either.  Katie went cray cray at one point.

I think they have too many characters.  All we need is Bill!  Heart  Woman Wink  Woman Embarassed

Re: Bold & Beautiful getting tiresome

I'm sorry to be redundant because I've said it before, but speaking of actors and recasts and so on, this incarnation of Ridge is just a non-starter... The man always looks like he just jumped out of a dirty clothes hamper... I can't for the life of me believe he was the best they could come up with...

@Perkup  You may want to hang in a little longer for Dena.  It hurts me because my Mom had dementia, but I respectfully want to see the storyline through the end.

Other than that, there is nothing else going on that I can suggest that you change your mind.  I too am disappointed with the route the show has headed.

I agree about Dena.  She is the most interestsing person to hit the show in years.  (Other than maybe Scott)  They dressed her in such beautiful clothes and at first I thought she was going to be a strong character.  Very disappointed in what they have done with her character.  I have enormous empathy for "her ailment" but I don't need to see it played out on the screen. Now how could they bring her back to really contribute?

I completely agree about Dina... I was hoping to see her take her place as the head of the Abbot family and a Genoa City society maven... Socially 'relevant' story lines are nice, but given Dina had been gone for some time and had no real pull on the heart strings, they could've played this one out with another character introduced for that express purpose... Disagree, though, about Scott. I thought his was an awful casting job and while I came to sort of like the character, I'm not missing him... If they bring him back, I hope they recast him... Next time around, they might consider someone actually believable as Lauren's son...

Re: Bold & Beautiful getting tiresome

About Dina, I was hoping they'd discover that Graham was drugging her to simulate dementia or something along those lines and that they could have her character 'intact' for the longer haul... I guess they've decided to play it out as they intended, but it's really a waste of the first meaningful cast addition they've had in a long time. As much as I like her, I do hope they don't prolong the current state of affairs. Her screen time these days is more grating or upsetting than it is entertaining...
