On Amazon Prime video is a new Bob Mackie documentary called:  Bob Mackie: Naked Illusion.  It is wonderful.......it covers his professional life aas well as his private life with his former wife, granddaughter and great granddaughters.  Interviews with Mitzi Gaynor, Cher, Carol Burnett.  Very enjoyable for those who admire and love his work.

I will look it up!

I got to meet Bob Mackie about 12 years ago when he did a live audience show here at the Q. He gave everyone in the audience a scarf and we all got to meet him!

He was very friendly and gracious 😁!  A fun show!

@Somertime Ooooh I'll bet that will be fascinating! I love documentaries...especially about fashion icons, and musicians and bands. I'd love to learn more about Bob Mackie's life, career, history...I'll bet it's been a colorful one.

Thank you for the heads-up; I'll check it out!

I finally found it and you must pay extra to watch it.  These streaming movie services are a joke.  I pay plenty, rarely watch, then they want to charge extra?  No thanks.

HeartI really enjoyed Bob when he was here. I miss him and Nolan Miller. Both such classy guys. Both just real originals. And I especially like when they would be on with MaryBeth. It was obvious that she and Mr. Miller had a genuine affection for each other. Ahhhh. The good old days.Heart

Thank you so much for posting this. I would have never come across it. It is a wonderful documentary. I absolutely loved it. I love Bob Mackie. I would stay home at 17 years old on saturday night just to see what Cher was going to have on. I loved her clothes. It brought back a lot of memories of Sonny and Cher's shows and Carol Burnetts.  I did not realize that Bob Mackie had designed the dress Marilyn Monroe wore when she sang Happy Birthday to John F. Kennedy.  Thank you again.
