@Estellee  Great question!! Maybe Frank will retire? You know....he and the Mayor don't see eye to eye. I hope they end things on a good note. I wish Danny had found love again.

The guy who plays Joe Hill? I like him too. He's very bright.

I am sorry to see this end as well.  I hope they don't have Frank retire (although I think they are telegraphing several outcomes in the frst 3 episodes I have watched this season and this is one of them) because it would eliminate the possibility of another network or Netflix taking the show .

I think they are hinting at a Danny/Baez coupling and I wonder if Pops would pass before the season's end.

It also seems like Joe is going to embrace his spot in the family before the curtain falls on the show.

Re: Blue Bloods Confusion

[ Edited ]

Blue Bloods is one of the few shows I have watched season after season. It is truly a character-driven drama with great casting and of course with Tom Selleck at the helm...how could it not be a great show? I will enjoy this last season and will miss this show terribly! The end of an era.

My stepdaughter's boyfriend is an Associate Producer on Blue Bloods, the first name listed when the credits run after the show.  Money was not the reason the show was cancelled.  The show continued as long as Tom Selleck wanted it to continue.  He no longer wants to do the show.  If you notice, most of his scenes are shot with him sitting, either in his office, at home, or someplace else.  He has back issues and walking is painful and difficult.  He decided that he didn't want to do the show any more there was no show without him.

I had read a while back that Tom Sellick is suffering from back or arthritis issues.  Saddens me but I xoy no d understand if that's the reason for series end.

This is probably the only show in many years that I absolutely look forward to.

I read the same thing.  Tom is 78 now and has been living with this pain for years.

CBS is cheap. Selleck and cast are willing to continue. I find the show to be consistently good. The tribute show to Treat Williams (Lenny) was great. It's topical without preaching. Both sides of issues are explored. I wish CBS would renew the show for another season.

One thing that's bothered me about the show is it has too many single men without wives or girlfriends.  i'm sure it's about saving money, but not realistic.

I don't know if anyone remembers, but I thought the very first episode of Blue Bloods was one of the best first TV episodes of any show, ever.
