Big Brother's 25th Anniversary special tonight (07/26)!!!

Probably not a great episode, but it's something. The rumors are we'll see the new house design at some point in tonight's show. I don't really care about most of the former houseguests that are being featured, but I'll watch it to see if they show anything about the new season.

Monday or Tuesday of next week we should meet the new houseguests and see more of the house before the live move-in on next Wednesday.

They've released a photo of Julie and the new main image for the show that they claim they couldn't release before the new houseguests were sequestered as it revealed too many secrets. Yeah, about that. No one who's seen it has a clue what it reveals. It's not nearly as obvious as CBS seems to feel it is. It might make more sense once we know what the heck they're talking about, but for now, it's just nothing.

The late start to the season means it'll run through Halloween, so we should get another BBOTT-type Halloween event out of it. That could be fun. With the start of the season a week away and the new houseguests locked up, more details will be leaking out soon.

They keep advertising the new season starting at the beginning of August, but I didn't realize there is a special tonight.  Thanks for posting.  I am excited about the new season, but I am not crazy about the late start.  I have watched every season of Big Brother since the beginning, and I like that it is usually more of  a summer show.

OMG!  I'm practically jumping up and down. I love seeing moments from the oldest shows. My favorite houseguests were Jeff and Jordan. So good to see them again!

Yippee!!!

It's been a better show than I anticipated.

Overall, a pretty good show. I only cringed a few times. We did see a little (very little) of the new house design. What we saw looked okay. We should start getting more stuff in the coming days. The new houseguests reportedly did some and are doing the rest of their preshow media interviews now. The blackout on those should be lifted Monday or Tuesday. The new season is almost upon us.

Call me silly, foolish, whatever but I would like to see a season like the first  where everything was new and the houseguests had no idea what to expect and alliances did not (in homage to Chicken George) "rule the roost" almost to the exclusion of independent play.

I guess they will explore the highlights - and lowlights - of the past 24 seasons.

I get annoyed when people in an alliance know they're on the outs with their alliance but stay loyal even as their alliance is planning their death. We saw that a couple of years ago with Tiffany and Hannah knowing they were going to get the boot, but instead of turning on their alliance they just went along with it.  We saw it first in BB12 with Matt when his alliance let it slip he was dead to them and he had the power to turn on them but got rid of Kathy instead. Big Brother is not a team sport. Only one person wins.

Hannah and Tiffany had Claire, Derek, and Alyssa available as a safer alliance, but stuck with the Cookout and took the loss.
