Re: Big Brother 20: Week 6: Spoilers and Updates!

[ Edited ]

@SusieQ_2, thanks so much for the analysis and updates! It'll be a relief to see Tyler come down off the block.

I read on Jokers that Bayleigh said Tyler yelled at her, & I can't picture it. Do any of you know if it happened?

Cats:

Back when I was a young mom w/ kids, we'd sometimes spend weekends w/ friends.

Once when my friend was driving us all back home,  I turned and said to him 'I was just thinking that I'd like to have a cat.' That thought had come out of the blue.

So, he dropped us off, and as we were dragging in our backpacks, etc., the most beautiful cat I'd ever seen walked into our kitchen and just sat down. She looked like a Himalayan w/ dark black eyeliner around her crystal blue eyes.

We named her Clarice. LOL!

Muddling through...

What was Bayleigh's reaction at being put on the block?

I know that my opinion is not the popular one, but why take out a houseguest that no one would ever vote for to win and keep the one person who is super popular, charismatic who really does have a chance at winning?

Re: Big Brother 20: Week 6: Spoilers and Updates!

@SusieQ_2, as always, thanks so much for the updates.

You feed that cat and you will have a cat.  One winter we had horrible storms back to back and two stray cats came up on our porch.  Of course we fed and watered them.  And we ended up with two cats.  Well, our neighbor took one and we took one.  He was fast.  I would come home from work and find him sleeping on DD's bed.  Keep in mind, we didn't let him in the house...we'd open the door to leave and without our noticing he'd zoom by.  We had to keep very close attention.  Great cat.  kids would put him in the doll stroller and take him for walks and he was as happy as could be.  Clearly he was happy to finally have a home.  Never wanted a thing to do with cats before him but since then have always had cats.@Wsmom

"You feed that cat and you will have a cat."

I came home yesterday after asking a couple people what they would suggest about food and this is exactly what I heard!

I've actually had two cats in my lifetime. Both were strays, one found at work and another brought over by a neighbor asking if I wanted it, so they were brought in the house immediately and meant to stay. This is my first experience with a stray that will stay outside. This cat is not trusting of humans and won't let me closer than about 6-10 ft before it runs away. I'm not thrilled with the responsibility, but like you and all the wonderful pet people here, I can't turn my back on it.

The good news (at least I hope it's good news, lol) is I put a dish of food out thinking it might ignore it--that might have been naive--but the food was gone when I went back out a half hour later. That poor thing must have been hungry.

So, like you, I guess I now have a cat. I don't think it will be letting me put him/her in stroller--I do have a stroller I used when I had a blind dog--but this cat seems a little too independent.

I loved your story about how the cat would zoom into your house. I'd probably let this one in, if it wanted to be in, but my little dog would probably put an add on Craig's list looking for a new home.

Most BB players aren't good strategic thinkers playing an individual game. They devolve into group think and do what's best for their alliance. I would generally try to get rid of anyone I couldn't beat in the end. No one will likely beat Tyler if he gets to the end, but by and large they all want to keep him. Fessy and Brett are huge physical threats that I'd want gone. Tyler's just behind them. Bayleigh lucked into her HOH by riding down a ramp closest to eight seconds. It wasn't skill or physical ability. I guess her being awarded an app by the viewers might make her seem popular and a potential threat. It seems like BB players tend to vote out annoyances more than the real threats.

What I love about this year's show is that the hamsters change their minds....

Today they were trying to get votes to keep Bay .... I guess Rockstar is getting on their nerves again?

As for the cat stories.... I have a friend who attracted a feral cat... she ended up with lots of scratches on her arms.  She is the consumate cat lover.  I felt so bad for her.  That cat never was able to bond with her, and she was so good to it.

Re: Big Brother 20: Week 6: Spoilers and Updates!

@123SuzyQ123 - Seventeen years is a good, long life. That dog was extra lucky when it's previous owner chose your house. Did you ever imagine that they were driving by and the dog yelled "STOP! This is where I want to live!" I know, I've watched too many Disney movies, lol, but on Thanksgiving? That's so cool and really is movie worthy.

About Bayleigh--she did say that, I happened to be watching at that exact moment. Rockstar, oddly enough, once called L6 (not knowing they were L6) but referred to Brett, Winston, Angela and Rachel as "the effing white people alliance." That was really weird coming from her, but maybe she thinks of herself as the purple one.

I think it sounds worse than it really was, and I sympathize with Bay in this respect. I imagine what it would be like being the only black person in the house. She also says she grew up the being the only black person in a school full of white people and was always singled out for it.

I agree, it was really a bad thing to say (imagine it being reversed!) but I think she was just so frustrated in the moment. We're not supposed to see color, and I'd bet to a great extent many of us don't, but living in a world where it's always shoved down out throats, it's hard to forget that racism still exists.

Sorry, I think I started on a tangent, but I think the people reporting it are making it into more than it really was.

The bigger Bayleigh news, in my opinion, is that she may be the bearer of the first child conceived in the BB house! I kind of doubt it will be true, but she's late, and has been discussing it with Haleigh. I'm not sure if she's late due to the stress of the game or if she might just be looking for attention. But, it could happen...Swayleigh could be making history for BB20! Some people are saying voting her out this week could be this season's double eviction. Smiley Very Happy

Re: Big Brother 20: Week 6: Spoilers and Updates!

@sabatini, what a nice way to get a cat...she chose you! I have a Christmas ornament that has the saying "I didn't rescue my dog. My dog rescued me." Some people might think that's corny, but from the sound of the stories here, I don't think it's us! Clarice sounds like she was a lovely cat. Heart

About Tyler and Bay...I heard that they did get into something but we don't see the veto ceremony on live feeds. It's hard to imagine him yelling but that's the rumor. It had to do with her being hoh and him feeling like he had to win veto (which he did) because he suspected she was going to backdoor him. She says she had no intention of doing that. I think Tyler may have just been backing up Angela and citing one more reason Bay is the target this week. I hope they show what happened when we see the ceremony tomorrow night on the show.

@CLHS68, Unfortunately we don't see the veto ceremony on live feeds but that does make it more exciting when we get to see it on TV. I hope they don't edit out the good parts, lol.

But, actually, Bayleigh handled it as well as could be expected. She knows she has a power app so it makes sense she would be targeted and she understood that. What really upset her was being blamed for being the hacker. She has such an air of snippyness (new word? idk) where she acts like she's above it all, but she also has a good, reasonable side as well. Basically, she just cried a little (nothing like Kaitlyn) and wanted to go to bed.

It seem like players do one of two things initially--they either go off in a rage, or they just sort of give up. Sometimes they combine those two. Then usually, they come around to realizing that to stay in the game they need to do some work, some campaigning, and I think Bayleigh will do that.

Unfortunately, with that power app, and the numbers against her, it looks like she's destined to be the first member of the jury. L6 has even said they don't care if she was or wasn't the hacker, they have to get rid of the power app.

Re: Big Brother 20: Week 6: Spoilers and Updates!

Bayleigh made two fatal errors, trusting Rachael, not even in her alliance, and not using her power once it was exposed.

Rachael deserved to be eliminated for her betrayal. How could anyone ever trust her?
