Read that the next spin off could be about Gus.

Might be more interesting than Saul?

@granddi

Noooooooooo!!!

Please stop milking this dead cow.  I can only suspend belief for so long.  This series has dragged on and on... people age.  I cannot buy the prequel premise anymore.

And it's a shame because I live in Albuquerque and used to enjoy seeing familiar spots and local actors in the series.

@granddi   I cannot imagine a spin-off about Gus showing us anything we already do not know.

They are all aging, too.

Don Eladio looks way too much older in Better Call Saul.

As much as I like Giancarlo Esposito in all the roles he has played, he does not look the same anymore.

Who would be in it?

Jonathan Banks is in his 80's.

How much more do we need to see Mike?

Hank and Gomez-same ol' same ol' tracking down meth dealers.  Without Walter and Jesse, Hank and Gomez really do not have much storyline-wise.

Walter and Jesse-same issue.  We already know their storyline.

Bringing back these main characters from BB would just be another circling around the same storylines.

      • Giancarlo Esposito, who portrayed Gus Fring in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, revealed that he is quite open to the possibility of reprising his role for another spinoff that is focused on his character. Speaking to Insider, the actor shared that series creator Vince Gilligan may be on board for the hypothetical Gus Fring series.

@granddi   Gilligan and Gould want to work on other projects right now.

Esposito is the one who is hoping for another spin-off, so Giligan said you never know.  Just a comment, not conclusive.

Even if Gillian and Gould are on board, it would be years before they will begin a spin-off.

My original remark said COULD be not WILL be (spin off) It was just intended to chat about the show. I did not intend to present the comment as a fact or in anyway mislead.

As much as I was curious where Jesse ended up in Breaking Bad, the spin-off movie "El Camino" really fell flat.

I always felt BB was more about Jesse than Walter anyway, the "cooking" aside.

Better Call Saul is ok but most spin-offs do not do as well as the original.

Bob Odenkirk keeps my interest and that is why I still follow this series.

We know Gus has children; he mentioned them when he made dinner at his house for Walter.

Gus is so violent I cannot picture a series about him showing him to be the loving family man, either.

I can.  Men like that do not bring their work home.  They go home to a house in the suburbs to wify & kiddies who are in the dark as well as the neighbors.......until one early morning the FBI, State Police & SWAT comes a knocking. Smiley Tongue
