I don't think for 1 minute that Erika and Tom live as husband and wife in a loving relationship. I think she is his arm candy and they live together because he helped her financially start her career and gave her and her son everything when they had nothing. Erika strokes his ego.

She is street wise and he is a lot older than she is so she knows it's in her best interest financially to stay where she is.JMO
