I like all three of these shows.

 

Geoffrey Hughes was so good in Keeping Up Appearances. I love Onslow (and Daisy).

 

KUA is my one and only.  As soon as Hyacinth announces "The boo-KAYYYYYYYYY residence -- the lady of the house speaking," I'm undone!

I have heard over the years (no personal knowledge) that Patricia Routledge was nothing at all like her Hyacinth character. She has been described as serious, business-like, and straight-laced.

 

Kind of reminds me of some of the descriptions of Lucille Ball, who was such a great comedic actress, but very serious and un-funny in her real life.
