@ClaudeNorth, so interesting about the villains in Batman!  I so like Glynis Johns also.

Still envy you, @chloe4578 !   I'm far from idealizing them-- as a group, actors don't really appeal.  But there are always going to be certain ones that resonate, for whatever reason.  With Connors, it's always that unforced, delightful, 'everyman' personality, isn't it?

What a shrewd businesswoman Lucille Ball was--  neat story.

The Diana Hyland "kidnap" episode on Mannix wasn't of her kidnapping-- it was of her little boy, some years earlier.  She became Mannix's client when the case re-surfaced, and was at odds with her estranged husband, Dabney Coleman.... For some reason, those two sort of battling together were really good, and Mannix, as usual, brought the much-needed "down-to-earth" factor...
