This Sunday on TCM, starting early, will be a Doris Day marathon of her movie classics. Love her movies, and have a lot of them set to record.

I've seen many Doris Day movies over the years. Love her singing. But the movies that stand out for me are her dramatic roles. Namely, "Midnight Lace" with Rex Harrison, "Love Me or Leave Me" with James Cagney and a little known thriller "Julie" with Louis Jourdan. "Midnight Lace" will air Monday morning at 2:00AM followed by "Julie" at 4:00AM EST.

I love Doris day movies!!
DH bought me a DVD set that has six of her classic movies - Pillow Talk, Lover Come Back, That Touch of Mink, The Thrill of It All, Mover Over, Darling and
Send Me No Flowers.
Pillow Talk is my all time favorite, and a close second is Lover come Back.
Nothing against James Garner or Cary Grant, but Doris had wonderful chemistry with Rock Hudson.

I love all of Doris Day's movies, the light ones and the dramas. She is a joy to watch and always looks so beautifully dressed. One of my favorite movies is Calamity Jane which I saw when it came out in the movies. I absolutely love the music and always sing along with it when I watch. Secret Love is the best!
Aside from her movie career, Doris is an animal activist and has donated time and money to helping those without voices. I admire her more for this and shows what a beautiful person she is on the inside as well as the outside. God bless her for entertaining us and for her devotion to helping animals!

If you are traveling with your dog in the Carmel, CA area, consider staying at Cypress Inn, founded by Doris Day. Pets are so very welcome.

I also love her in those "darker" roles you mention, @Diva on The Q. And I like the film noir she made with hunky Steve Cochran and a late-career Ginger Rogers (Also a departure role for Ginger. Interestingly, she and Doris quite convincingly played sisters in this, and both were very good as women who were being menaced in this thriller.) For some reason, TCM doesn't play "Storm Warning" that often...

I haven't seen "Storm Warning" it sounds intriguing. Hope TCM runs it at some point.
