Anyone watching American Horror Story--The Coven?

I am loving this and think it is far superior to last year's story....anyone else liking this? I am thrilled that Kathy Bates finally has a decent role. It stinks that someone as talented as she is is not in more things and I still haven't forgiven the networks for pulling her off of Harry's Law! That was awesome!

Re: Anyone watching American Horror Story--The Coven?

I watched and really liked the first season of American Horror Story. Watched and liked the second season but I made it through about 4-5 episodes into this season and deleted it off my dvr. It's just the same old same old now. I do like Kathy Bates and like her acting but the entire concept of this show is just uninteresting (to me). Enjoy the rest of this season.

I love it, not just for Jessica Lange, but for the fashions and the sets.

A visual treat!

Got my son hooked on AHS this season. He now wants to see Season 1 (which IMHO is the best so far!). I was not a fan of Season 2 - Asylum. I love all the characters this season! Watched last week's episode with Stevie Nicks but I can't say I was very impressed.

AGREE, AGREE! I LOVE this show and look forward to it every week! I was never much of a Jessica Lange fan before for some reason, but think she's terrific in this series and especially this third one. Kathy Bates has always been one of my favorites too, and as usual is doing a bang-up job with this part. I was so happy to hear they've renewed it for a fourth season! Yeah, a pox on the networks for cancelling Harry's Law! Seems a good number of shows I like get cancelled, but fortunately not this one......yet.

I continue to enjoy it. Last night I finally watched last week's Stevie Nicks (love her!) episode, so I'm a week behind.

I was bummed that Jessica Lange didn't win on the GGs the other night. She is such an amazing actor. I'm a huge fan. Then, to have Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett in this year's franchise was a huge treat - two more amazing actors.

Wonder what they will come up with next year.

Re: Anyone watching American Horror Story--The Coven?

I missed the whole Asylum season. I was on the road a lot and never managed to get into it. This season, though, i got caught up with Coven pretty early and have been watching ever since, sometimes with the covers over my eyes for the gory scenes. eewww. LOVE the show, though, in spite of the yucky stuff!

Next week is not the finale.. there're actually two more episodes (yay!)..

"The season finale for Coven, the third season of the hit anthology, airs January 29, 2014, with Episode 13, entitled "The Seven Wonders."

Until then, we still have Episode 11, "Protect the Coven," on January 15; and Episode 12, "Go to H*ll," on January 22.

January 29 seems way too soon — we're already dreading the months-long hiatus until Season 4. But at least we know there will be a Season 4: FX prudently renewed the hit series in November. The season will likely premiere in October, like the three sagas so far have.

Co-creator Ryan Murphy has dropped a few hints about the fourth year of the show: He says it will film in either New Orleans again or move to Santa Fe and that it won't be contemporary. (The only season so far to have not taken place primarily in the present was the 1960s-set American Horror Story: Asylum.)

He also says that he has approached Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett about sticking around for another season. Meanwhile, Jessica Lange has stated that Season 4 will be her last bout with the show… and yes, we're still trying to deal with that."

Side note: Stevie said she'd read the scripts and told Ryan Murphy that she'd written a song years ago that would go along with one of the upcoming epi's. I also understood her to say that she'd be back for a second appearance. I wonder if the song is Seven Wonders... hmmm... I'll be watching.

Cheers! ~ sue Smiley Happy

Tonight is the season finale for Coven, being Episode 13, entitled "The Seven Wonders".

American Horror Story will be back for its fourth season, most likely in October. Does anyone know what the new theme will be?

The theme hasn't been announced yet, but it will take place in the year 1950, be filmed in either Santa Fe or New Orleans, and Jessica Lange will have a German accent.
