Thanks for the memory. I too remember the McGuire sisters on Arthur Godfrey show when I was a child.
I am now 75 and it seems like yesterday was my childhood.
Happy New Year 2021 to everyone.

I remember them when I was a little girl and I thought they were so pretty. Phyllis seemed to be the out-going one.

Didanyone see references to her playing the harp? I may have misread but I thought I saw it somewhere.
In my house we always fought about which of the sisters was the prettiest.

Great film-"Sugartime". It is about Sam Giancana and Phyliss McGuires romance.
Stars John Turturro and Mary-Louise Parker.

I remember them. They were all very attractive as well as talented, but Phyllis was the prettiest.

Oh yes, I remember them. When I was 11 we took a family vacation to Disneyland making stops along the way. Afterwards, we went to Las Vegas and stayed at the original Desert Inn.
They were the head liners and my father must have tipped the guy that took our tickets because he took us down to the second row center. Then he came back and got us and took us back stage. They were getting ready so didn't spend a lot of time with us but chatted for a bit and as I recall were nice. That was a very nice evening for my sister and me.
That was my first trip to Vegas and I can remember standing on the steps down to the casino with all of the people, and lights, and machines and sounds. I was just so excited and told my parents that when I turned 21 I was coming back to this town . And i did and went to Vegas probably 50 times . The last time I went was probably 2010. My best friend is a Vegas lover and we've gone there most of the 50 times.

Two of my younger sisters and I owned the cut-outs. We always made the dolls sing "Sugartime."

Didn't one of the sisters become engaged to or married to singer Julius LaRosa then her husband who she thought had been killed in the war was found alive and came back so she had to break off the engagement or get the marriage to Julius annulled.......or something like that? Or did I dream that up?

Yes, I remember them well and when very young often saw them on TV, especially on the Arthur Godfrey show. I also remember a big deal being made over Phyllis McQuire''s romance with Sam Giancona.
I did like their music except for Sincerely. When I hear dthe Moonglows sing that song I realized how much feeling it had, the voices and harmony of the Moonglows were always excellent and they in my opinion, made that song.
