It's come to my attention again binging "Boardwak Empire" again and now "The Sopranos".

He's so prolific - can play anthing from a businessman to a thug to comedic takes to voices for animated films.

Didn't realize he directs & writes, too.

First discovered him in "Fargo", went through the Coen Bros. films and beyond.

Just love him.

@denisemb  Loved him since Fargo and The Big Lebowski. I was sad for him  when his wife passed away a couple of years ago.

Nucky!!  He is a fantastic actor with amazing depth in playing all of his characters.

I loved him in "Boardwalk Empire."

Right after 9/11, he returned to his job at NYFD as a firefighter and worked 12 hour shifts looking for survivors.

I was acquainted with him back in the day. @denisemb  He worked as a moving man in my friends moving company; while he was waiting to be called for the FDNY. He was a good guy and turned out to be a pretty good actor. He was terrific as Nucky. I agree he can play any character. Loved him in Trees Lounge.

There just doesn't seem to be a series we like as much as

The Sopranos, Boardwalk, The Wire...

The writing now isn't comparable.

Right!  To hear of an actor steppin' in for 12 hour shifts after 9/11 shows what a stand up guy he is.

Steve Buscemi is a multi talented actor , low key but always a stand out in his roles and work behind the scenes.  Boardwalk Empire is an excellent series complete with a terrific cast of characters, all led by Buscemi's Nucky!!!!!!!

He is a giving person in so many ways outside of acting, I applaud him!
