This may have been mentioned, I didn't read all the responses.  Tammy's weight when the show first began was a little over 600 lbs., and Amy was a little over 400 lbs.  So, together they total the 1000 lbs. mentioned in the title of their show. 

 

I have watched a few minutes of 3 of the episodes, and I wish them luck.  The larger one Tammy won't live much longer if she doesn't lose most of that weight!   I think Amy is more dedicated to lose, because she wants to have a baby.  I hope they are successful in their journey!
