The last time Graham spoke publically was to garner support for DiveLive and to announce future plans to go out to the world to visit other places "on safari". The Dive did not survive, and the rest never came to fruition with the exception of the brief Botswana (I think it was there) trip with Steph and Brent with the Gorillas in the DRC or Uganda. I don't think people were too upset because it's hard to invest so much daily time watching internet programs, and they didn't want to lose the Djuma drives.

I know how committed the Wallington's are to education and keeping this free to the viewers. I just don't have a good feeling now. I wonder if Graham will tell us why the Nat Geo sponsorship was lost. Everything went downhill with that. I remember a few years ago when they stopped broadcasting, then started back up. Well, we'll find out tomorrow.

Some speculation is that it will change to Utube??

Others...think new sponsership?

Others think...charging us to watch...this one i don't think so as many said

they wouldn't watch then.

I   have had a unseasy feeling  since the quit calling themselves guides!

Then a few guides left...and cam guys....no reason   stated.....if did i didn't believe it!

Then they hired Lauren  and Trish...i think to save money and pay them less moneyinstead of those who left!

Well...we will find out Tomorrow...good or bad!

I noticed at the end of Sunset Safari today, Trishala and Lauren are not listed in the credits. Don't know how long this has been the case.  Credits were for James Hendry as Head Naturalist and Jamie Paterson, Steve Faulconbridge and Tristan Dicks as Naturalists. Just the four of them.

I'm so glad I got to watch SafariLIVE in both South Africa and Kenya before things changed.

@ Montana

I also feel like you ...very lucky to have watched all these years.

hmmm...and noticed a few times lately that James has been camera guy!!

I could never get into the Dive when it was on and never donated money for it...what a waste of$ 50,000  or more dollars thar vewers gave!

Then" train"  divers into guides???

Well, in a few hours we will  kown what Graham's news is.

Well, veiwers bought into it....one person donated $5,000 to name Tandi's cub!!!

Graham  asked for $100,000 to get through December....ortherwise drives would end Oct.31st....within 10 min. it was about at half mark!Money drive is set for 11days!

Last time i looked it was getting close to $200,000....so we shall see!

Will he use the money to pay bills now due or past due with the money??

or

Will it go toward guides ,etc. now for drives?

People went into a panic i think at the thought of losing drives....this is the 2d time that i recall him wanting/needing funding money from viewers.

What are your thoughts???

Along with losing NatGeo it sounds like a lot of other sponsorships fell through. Without some kind of corporate funding, I wonder if SafariLIVE is even sustainable by subscriptions and donations alone.

I haven't been watching very long, but It's really sad to see SafariLIVE fall apart like this.

@ Montana

People have donated close to $300,000  now....

but who will Graham..let stay....as guides,camera guys,etc....?????

lot of speculation....on that

Agree...it's very say for all drive watchers to see this happen....but this isn't the first time it's happened....last time..was 3 long years for him to bring it back!!!!!!!

I hope it doen't happen again...sigh...so i guess all we can do is hope for the best and enjoy all the drives that we can.

I read that Jamie is back on the drive today.
