Tom Bergeron's a good guess - he'd be good. He definitely has the background and personality. Don't know how smart someone has to be - they have the answers in front of them. And Alex has said they go over the questions/answers/pronunciations ahead of time.

While I'm sure we all agree no one could ever fill the shoes of Alex Trebek, there are many that could do the show justice.

Oddly enough the first name that came to mind was......

Will Ferrell......

My guess would be that TPTB and Alex Trebec have already decided on Ken Jennings. Maybe that's why Ken has been showcased recently giving the clues to contestants via video. I believe he was even featured as the question Ken Jennings. I don't think that I will watch Jeopardy if it's anyone other than Ken or one of the familiar big winner contestants. Neil DeGrasse was the only suggestion I've read here that I liked.
