@skincaremaven, thanks for the heads up. No, I haven't seen Another Miss Oh. So much to watch, so little time.
I tend to gravitate to many of the legal dramas, thrillers, and historical period dramas. But I do mix in some of the lighter romantics and comedies.
It's Okay Not to Be Okay was such an emotional rollercoaster. And even with all the pulling of the heartstrings I loved every minute of it. Really liked how the main characters developed in the end.
Crash Landing on You was delightful. What a predicament! And truly a fish out of water story. I enjoyed the glimpse into conditions in the North. I had read that a couple of defectors had helped with authenticity of conditions, but the show failed to stress the lack of food available to many in village life. The entire cast had great chemistry, in fact the two leads went on to marry.
A romantic comedy I really liked was Oh My Ghost. (Korean version and not the Thai remake.) An assistant chef has an ability to see ghost, and one young ghost wants her assistance in helping her pass over, while both are attracted to the handsome cocky head chef. Very cute cast. Of course there's a mystery in the background concerning the death of this young woman.
@Mindy D , I couldn't stop binging Flower of Evil. Dark but so, so good. Have you seen Taxi Driver? Another dark series, revenge oriented but so well written. I could swear it had been on Apple but don't see it now. And I thought season 2 was on Netflix. Some of these series come and go then bounce to different platforms. I can't keep them straight.
The next on my list is Little Women, then I want to watch The Glory. Both on Netflix.
Roku has really opened up the ability to see many shows and movies. There is the live streaming of channels like AsianCrush, CJ-ENM, Rakuten Viki, Kocowa, and New KMOVIES. Plus what's great about Rakuten Viki and Kocowa is that you can watch many of the older shows for free on their aps without needing to subscribe.
