Is anyone watching this series on AMC?  I tried two episodes and I can't make heads or tails of it.

Somebody help!

Re: Ann Rice's Mayfair Witches?

I'm witching it. I don't like the jumping from time period to time period but I do like it. I don't love it.

Re: Ann Rice's Mayfair Witches?

I am watching and it is ok and I'll continue watching to see if it gets better.  I read Anne Rice's Vampire books but not the Witch series, wish I had.  The books usually are more detailed and well written.  I assume the young woman who plays the doctor and daughter of the witch will become more powerful.

@gertrudecloset   I'm still watching but like you have found it very confusing at points, I haven't read the books so have found google is my friend sometimes just trying to figure it out as there's lots of layers/history/family heirarchy.  I'm thinking we'll learn more this next episode.

Re: Ann Rice's Mayfair Witches?

I read the Mayfair Witches book series many years ago and loved it. I don't recall having trouble following the story, but it does follow multiple timelines. It might have been easier to follow in the books. I can't be sure, but each chapter may have stated the time period and which character was telling the story. Is this info available in the screen version? If not, I can imagine it might be hard to follow.

@chrystaltree

I'm with you on this - I'm good with this show until they start the going back in time thing.  This, to me, is just boring.  I, so far, like the rest of the show and am keeping up with it pretty well.

I started a thread about the show:

@SilleeMee thanks but I saw your thread.  I'm looking for indepth information about the program.  Your thread doesn't provide the help I seek.

Fortunately, however another poster within mentioned searching it to get background and to understand the parts that I do not.  Thanks anyway.
