I really like this guy. That's WAY too early to pass away. He was a great actor and seemed like such a nice man when he spoke in interviews.

Agree, he was a real standout on Homicide, filmed right here in Baltimore, fabulous actor. He was in the movie, with Richard Gere and Ed Norton called Primal Fear

I first saw Andre in the TV series Homicide Life on the Streets.

Munch from L&O SVU crossed over from that series.

Andre so talented and I believe he has 3 children with his wife.

I sent the NYTimes article (below) about him to both my sons, who attended the same high school (not at the same time, though) ...  I loved that Homicide series ... it was a precursor to The Wire.

He is certainly one actor that I will miss seeing again.  Sad to hear of his passing.
