@SharkE

Many folks objected to the ending of Sopranos.  I did not.  In my opinion, I believe Tony probably got shot and killed at the end while sitting in the restaurant.  I would imagine if that happened to anyone their world would abruptly end . . . The screen would go black, the light would go off.

I thought it very realistic and brave of the writers who conceived that ending, especially with that series that had so many shocking scenes throughout its tenure.

I didn't see him shot ?   He just sit there and looked around.

Was there another version put out that I'm not aware of ?

I should have worded it differently.  I should have said “In my opinion” before saying he was shot.  Mea culpa.

@LilacTree @SharkE . I believe David Chase said they were all killed at the end. I wonder about Meadow, I don’t remember her making it into the restaurant.

Re: And the worst ending to a movie goes to

It sounds like that Sopranos wins , and it would be more frustating because of investing time of several seasons vs this 1 episode movie that most people have never seen. I had never watched a movie where you are as clueless at the end as you were the beginning. Does anyone remember the Dennis Weaver movie where he was terrorized by the truck driver and you never saw his face , that is what this movie was like but the other movie had an ending. Now i off to look that one up.

Re: And the worst ending to a movie goes to

I wanna know for sure not suppositions LOL

Okay to shoot them and show close up of faces, Ok, they're dead end of story.

Just to show Tony at the table and a guy at the counter looking at him ?

I bought that whole series except the ending LOL

Great show one of the best on TV. I bought 'Dallas' whole set too.

I've bought all the ones that I wanted to watch over again. PBS shows are the best.

Uncle Jr. was a gas. Loved him.  Tony's mother was a horror.

His son was an idiot and Meadow needed a attitude adjustment in the worst way.
