Re: Americas Got Talent

I stopped watching when Simon buzzed Puddles Pity Party in the middle of an amazing performance. I don't think buzzing should happen once a performer is in the audience voting rounds. It definitely influences the audience vote. If you enjoyed Puddles you should check out his YouTube videos. He's very funny and doesn't do that sad clown act so much.

@lulu2, where was that article?  I would like to read it because I'm not a fan of his at all.

Some of these people, while good, I look at it as would I pay to go see them in LV for however long a show is.  I'm sorry but most of those kids, no I wouldn't.  They are excellent, and when they are older should do very well, but I just don't think Vegas is the place for them.  The little ventriloquist girl is the exception.  She is just fabulous and I imagine of any of them, she will be the one we will be hearing about in future years if she chooses to stick with it.  Maybe the little dancing couple will be professional dancers on DWTS!  They are also very good but her theatrical facial expressions need to be toned down.  Sorry, but not a fan at all of Puddles.  Not at all.  An hour or more of that?

Have any of them, aside from that Terry Fator (sp?) actually succeeded and had a show last for any time?  This is the first season I have really watched each week.  In past years I would only watch a little bit here and there each season.

DH and I used to look forward to watching AGT.  However, the antics of the judges, particularly Mel B is tiresome.  This is just my opinion, but I don't see how she's able to find H20 with as big as her head is getting.

When she had a hissy fit about the "pumpkin head" guy and went up on stage demanding they put him through, along with those Mirror twins is childish.  She should go home and watch herself to see how much of a fool she's making of herself.  It's so obvious she's looking for a man with her remarks.

The back stories are tiresome, and way too many singers on the show.  I'm also tired of hearing "but she's only 9 years old" and "she's so cute" about the little girl, I think her name is Celine.  Cuteness is not what this show is about.  She's a good singer; not a million dollar act IMO.

Darcy Lynne (I think that's her name), the ventriloquist is so talented and I'm pulling for her.

Last night's show was a complete mess though. When Heidi and Mel B were standing off to the side of the stage, DH said, she looks like a clown standing there; I agreed.

I DVR AGT and watch it the next day.  I skip over a lot of acts that I'm not interested in.  Johnny Manuel, the singer, is my favorite.

If another ukelele singer wins this year (the deaf girl), I'm not going to watch this show anymore.  I don't think she is that great (same for the girl with father with colon cancer).

@tammysu Mandy is so much more talented than Grace! I'm rooting for several of the other acts, though- & was bummed with the Dunkin Save results last night.

I agree with you.  As soon as they said the young girl was in the running for viewers' choice, I knew she'd go through.  Her story is beyond sad, but sometimes this show is more like Queen For a Day than a talent show.

I have a feeling the deaf girl will go far in this competition. You could see the looks on the Pompeo family that they knew they'd be eliminated when they called for them and her. (the little girl was already crying)

I watched it and wondered if a lot of it was fake.  I read where some people think some of it was fake (trying to look real) because so many people are accusing it to be fake.  Phew!  That's some sentence, isn't it?  Ha!

I'm so dumb about these shows I'd never know the difference anyway and don't really care.  I watch parts of it.
