RIP Frank Fritz. Sad news. Geez, the celebrity reaper has been busy this past week.

Husband and I watched this show a lot. Was glad to hear Mike and Frank mended their friendship and were friends again. We still watch American Pickers. Sad to hear of Frank's passing.

I didn't realize the two men had a rift. I used to watch the show but fell out of the habit. Would someone tell me what the issue was?

I was surprised to read about his death this morning. I did not realize he had had a stroke. My Mom and Step Dad got me hooked on this Pickers show and I watched a long time.

Here's what Mike Wolfe had to say...
It’s with a broken heart that I share with all of you that Frank passed away last night.
I’ve know Frank for more then half my life and what you’ve seen on TV has always been what I have seen, a dreamer who was just as sensitive as he was funny. The same off camera as he was on, Frank had a way of reaching the hearts of so many by just being himself.
Who would have ever dreamed we would share the cockpit of a white cargo van in front of millions of people interested in our adventures.
Before the show we would take off together to places we never knew existed with no destination in mind and just the shared passion to discover something interesting and historic.
We’ve been on countless trips and shared so many miles and I feel blessed that I was there by his side when he took one last journey home. I love you buddy and will miss you so much I know your in a better place

I used to watch Pickers all the time; i thought Frank gave the personality to the friendship between him and Mike. I met a relative of Frank's at a Christmas party a few years ago; she was lovely. He was only 60 and that seems so young. Mike just doesn't carry the show on his own, regardless of who has been added to take Frank's place. The show was never the same after he left. He was missed as soon as he left the show, and I know he will still be missed by friends and family. RIP
