Re: American Idol April 6, spoilers possible

I saw an interview with Justin Guardino (sp) and he said he still is singing.  He looks good and has children and a wife.

I didn't see when that update was posted.

We all knew that LaPorsha would get a contract with some studio, BUT why couldn't they wait a day or two to give Trent "his day in the sun"?  I feel like it is another "everyone gets a trophy" for participation.  Maybe they should have signed all of them?  I thought LaPorsha had a gorgeous voice and thought she would win, so I am not against her.  There are always winners and losers, not everyone can win.  Just my thoughts this morning.

I thought the exact same thing.  While I expected her to get a contract, it should have never been done right away IMO.  It took away from Trent's win.  Putting myself in his shoes, it wouldn't make me feel so good.  They have never done this in any of the other finale shows.  Trent deserved better.  It would also  make me wonder if LaPorsha was the winner whether they would have signed up Trent.  I thought it seemed rather tacky.

We were ecstatic to see that Trent won and with his illness of having mono at the beginning of the show, he really proved he's got what it takes.

Now I feel like why did I bother to vote? I don't mind her getting a contract but I feel it is a slap in the face to Trent to have her signed so soon. I do hope his CD is a priority and released before hers'.

I actually had to voice my feeleings to Scott B's on his website.  If the rumors are true that he was going to give both a contract, he absued the system of America voting on AI.  This is the first time I have voted in 10+ years LOL, but Trent had all the components that represent AI to me.   Kind of puts a damper on it for me, but I am sure Trent is a happy camper today.  Best of wishes to him.

I totally agree, let Trent, the WINNER of American Idol have his day in the sun.  It's not fair to him.  It's almost like the millions of votes Trent received really didn't matter.  He got the trophy but she had to be in the picture clinging to him after he won.  Let him have the spotlight and step away like every other runner up has done. I also noticed the look on her face exactly when Ryan announced Trent's name.  Anyone could tell that she was probably sure it would be her.

As as fa as Scott B., he was wrong and makes it seem like they both won by signing La Porsha so fast along with the winner which was Trent.  He has said every time he's been interviewed that the WINNER will receive a contract with his record label and now he completely goes against what he has repeatedly said.  He probably did it because he wanted to grab her before any other record label did.  Which goes to prove in this case, it's all about the money and not keeping his word, something he has never done before.  Sorry, but this is so very wrong.

I saw the two of them on an entertainment show, and they have become very close friends! They discussed plams to do some shows in rheir homestate of Mississippi together. And, said that this was a plan prior to the announcement of the winner, actually prior to even knowing they would be the final two.  Also, they mentioned they had discussed whoever won they would hug each other until pulled apart. Some folks have said she should have walked away and given him the spotlight, but this was what they had planned.  As far as the signing, Trent doesn't seem bothered, and I don't understand why others have had such a viceral reaction. After watching them together, they are clearly each others fan. These are young people who are just grateful, and both from humble beginnings. The small, petty things are not bothering them rightt now. I just hope the media and publc won't get into their heads about this whole LaPorsha record deal, and allow them to be happy for each other. Trent knows he is The American Idol, and that will not change. They're both talented beyond measure, and I wish them both nothing but the best!

@Hoovermom, could you please supply that website?  I did a google search and there were so many.  I'd like to leave a comment as well.  IMO, this was so wrong in so many ways.

Thank you.

You are so right about so many twitter accounts, etc., and others.  Here is where I sent it:  mail@bigmachine.us.  Now, who knows if he will ever see it but I felt better LOL.  Let me know if that doesn't work.

Thank you @Hoovermom.  I'll let you know.

Re: American Idol April 6, spoilers possible

For those of you who said Adam Lambert was not on the show, he was, just not on the final night.  He looks so different but he sang like he always did, fantastic.

One of the contestants from a previous show who I was rooting for, James Durbin, was with the group on the last night and I would never have recognized him.  His hair is bleached blond and I every now and then go on You Tube to watch and listen to him when he did Uprising, great performance and I thought he should have won it.  He is busy touring and cutting albums so I'm happy for him that he was successful without winning.

I am so looking forward to Trent's first album, he got all my votes and I am so happy for him.

Re: American Idol April 6, spoilers possible

I just read that La'Porsha Renae made a comment that she disagrees with gay people's lifestyles.  I'm sure that will go well for her in the entertainment business.  No gay people there.  Seriously, though, fat black girls with afros who sing well are a dime a dozen in show biz.  She'll end up as a back up singer for a cover band on a riverboat casino in Biloxi if she keeps speaking her stupid mind.

Geez. That statement is wrong in so many ways.

And speaking of stupid minds...........
