I love Mr. Selfridge, it starts the end of March, I think!

My PBS station is showing last week's Downton's episode, I always enjoy watching again!

I wonder if there is somewhere (free?) to catch up on Mr. Selfridge from the beginning? I subscribe only to Netflix.

Last night, Hooty, my PBS chose to air something else instead of the DA re-run as they usually do. I was not happy about that. Oh well. At least it's online so I can re-watch it.

I don't know (I haven't watched it yet) but it could be that they 'cheated' on the size of the lights due to having it show up on TV.

I'm going to google it and see what others have said. I sat through an entire episode where they explained how exact they keep the show down to having someone on set that even has them measure the distance the flatware is placed on the table.

They had green wires on lights in the 60' and we had a terrible time finding lights with white cords for our silver or flocked trees. Not silver aluminum, silver ones painted and sold for charity by the local fire department.

Yes - if you have Amazon Prime, you can stream Seasons 1 & 2 of Mr. Selfridge for free on Amazon Instant Video. I know, because we recently watched it all.

Yes, last night was sad for me because , not only did DA end for the season (yes, there is one more season) but the most lovliest baking competition show on television , The Great British Baking Show ended also and sure hope they bring that back again. I don't ever watch cooking competition shows, ever. But this one , being English, is filmed beautifully and everyone is so nice to each other, including the judges.

I thought last night's episode was a perfect ending to the Season 5 finale!

I think Mary has found her a new beau, Mr. Talbot and he is very handsome! I think he is going to give her a run for her money, LOL!

Oh SHOPR, I'm sorry! Maybe you can google Mr. Selfridge and find some free showings, go to Masterpiece Theatre.

Mr. Selfridge officially starts March 29th!

I thought that was THE END? Are you sure there's one more season? Hope, hope.

I love how:

Lady Mary has finally found a man who makes her heart flutter. I think maybe that's the secret-play hard to get with Lady Mary.

The master only has an ulcer.

Atticus's family now loves Rose.

Carson and Baxter-well, it was long in coming but so worth the wait. So cute.

I agree about the "Bates Saga".

Thomas is being nice, now, so grateful to what's her name, but never showing it.

The master finally is in on the secret of Marigold's existence. I'm really kind of tired of that scene, too.

Now if only Isis hadn't died I would be content.

But I felt like the other shoe had to drop and hoping that's because there's another season? Altho that isn't what I heard??

Yes, Julian Fellowes was interviewed about the next season, so it's on.

Did they really have strings of Christmas lights in 1926?

Carson and Hughes

I thought the same thing...Little white lights Christmas 1924??? I don't think so

Re: Already going through Downton Abbey withdrawal???

Thank you, Hooty and MJ 12. We don't have Prime. I looked around and I think, according to TV Guide, that PBS is airing 7 episodes of Season 2 on Sun March 8 and Sun March 15. I assume they will air the 8th episode, too? Maybe I can play catchup by watching these and by reading the Season 1 detailed synopses that PBS has online.
