It's January 4, 2018 and I'm already tired of seeing Marie Osmond on every channel (commercial) promoting Nutri-System and then there's the excise equipment.
Not just on the shopping channels, it's on every show I watch, I'm sooo tired of it.
It must work or they would have these commercials on constantly.

I don't watch or listen to any of them. I mute the tv or click off the channel until they are done.

I actually got a kick out of the Bally's commercials from many years ago that showed someone opening a package and exclaiming "Just what I always wanted! A Double Chin" or "A SPARE TIRE? Thank you!" They were hilarious.
But I agree--I'm sick of the nutrisystem and peleton system commercials

Just as hoiday merchandise is seasonal and pushed starting in September now, the exercise and diet ads are also seasonal based on the New Years resolution tradition. Since the resolutions are often forgotten in weeks at best, the ads will gradually diminish in about 6 weeks.

I never watch commercials. Either flip to QVC or mute it and grab my IPad. Edited to add, I probably should watch them as I do need to lose a few pounds!

I don't know who I am most sick of - Marie Osmond with her "I lost 50 pounds" or Oprah Winfrey with her "Free Style" and have a taco. Both are definitely over exposed and as boring as last year's news. And now we can look forward to Susan Lucci with her Pilates chair! Have mercy!!
I'm happy to say I did see a commercial for that insurance company with no Flo to be seen anywhere. Thanks for that!!!

@Annabellethecat66. . . . Oh, how I agree with you, especially about Marie and her NutriSystem commercials! And - get this - I'm in the middle of successfully doing the NutriSystem program and I just want Marie to stop already! Too much is just too much!!
Hugs . . . a much lighter Beth!

@q-girl I did Nutri-System too. Years ago when they actually were very new and had counselors you saw all of the time.
I lost around 37 lbs. I remember I lived on their hamburgers because that's the only thing I liked (and that was questionable). It wasn't that the food was so bad (I have no idea), I'm just a very, very picky eater.
I remember sitting around a table at the meeting place and the counselor wanted each of us to say why we wanted to loose weight.
Everyone said things like, "to be healthy" (standard answers) until they got to me.....here's what I said, "Because when I loose weight my shoe size gets smaller. I love, love shoes and I want to be able to buy more shoes". The counselor said something like, "Well, we all have reasons". Then she went on to someone else. Ha!
Actually, there's nothing healthy or good about being overweight (I'm talking about way overweight). I'm the first to admit I didn't have the right attitude.
Anyway, (of course) I put it back on once I stopped eating the hamburgers.
I'm just tired of seeing the same commercials over and over about weight loss. Most of them are during the day, not all of them.
Soon she'll be on QVC (along with others) so get ready. I don't mind though because I save money because I'm not tempted to buy anything.
Oh! I'm still overweight (not grossly....whatever that means) but I should loose some weight. My Dr always says I'm very healthy....then he adds, "In spite of yourself". I have very, very good genes. My poor husband worked out every single day, watched what he ate and dropped dead in front of me. They never knew why. Go figure.
As for you, sweet @q-girl I'm sure you're beautiful and amazing right now and I know you will be when you loose whatever you want.
I just think (as I've taught my daughters) it's about how YOU feel about YOURSELF. I also say, "Enjoy today and look forward to tomorrow when it will be even better".
I'm sure that's true for you. Just take care of yourself. That's what's important. Annabelle/Linda
