Hi all......does anyone watch any other soaps? I have watched DAYS for 36 years and it's so depressing now. I want to try a new show, but I am scared.....LOL. How will I figure out who is who?

My Mom suggested The Bold and the Beautiful, I guess it has a smaller cast.

@BaileyandBella, by any chance are you from the old philosophy board, Scooby?  I know I probably have you mixed up with her.

Anyway:  I watch Y&R, or half of it usually, and so does @twinsister.  IMO it's much better because they are by far the highest-rated soap and have always been so the budgets are bigger, the sets are fantastic, the clothes are often beautiful, the acting is of a much higher quality.  It's easy to pick up (I just started watching again around two years ago after a twenty-year absence) and the problem there is that they basically do the same stories over and over.  But there are a lot of married couples and young love and just a lot of love and people talking to one another, families sitting around talking, and I love that.  Also when I only watch half I find I haven't missed much.  It moves much more slowly but steadily and the dialogue is way better.

I'm curious, @twinsister, if you feel the same about Y&R?

@BaileyandBella, just want to add that although I basically just told you Y&R is superior in every way, I still love DAYS best.  It doesn't make sense, but it's true.

I am just so tired of DAYS bringing people back and then letting them go again. There are no super couples anymore...... they lead us on with stuff and then just drop it (like Rafe and Hope).

I am so mad that they killed Will, he is a legacy character! Why not just re-cast him?

Today Summer told Maggie Daniel was like a big bro to her, so ridiculous, when Maggie's eggs were not frozen until she was married to Mickey and found out he was sterile, Summer would have to be much older than Daniel. They have no sense of a timeline on Days, none.

BTW, it was posted here yesterday that actor, Ken Howard passed away, did you all know his first wife was Louise Sorel, our beloved Vivian Alamain?

Don't get me started on Summer......LOL....ugh! Why not just bring back real Horton's, not new ones.....LOL

I was also disappointed that they killed Daniel.

sigh..".again' TODAY Maggie feels light headed and leaves Summer..and where does she go again..town square and gets dizzy again..why isn't she in the hospital being checked out????

I don't trust Summer and will not miss her when she leaves.

The show made me shake my head today..duh!!
