I wanted to be sure I didn't drop the ball this month!!  I finally got over my crud.  My mom actually ended up with pneumonia and in the hospital, but she is doing much better now.  I'm getting ready for my studio's semi-annual showcase in a couple of weeks--this year's theme is Rock through the Ages and of course, we're doing a mash up of classic rock (bob seger),  yacht rock (Jimmy Buffett) and bubblegum rock (The Monkees).

February was and maybe still is? one of the sweeps months and back in the day--it was wedding month.  I do miss the old DAYS of weddings--Jack and Jennifer, Doug and Julie, Mickey and Maggie.  

Does anyone know if they did a tribute to Bill Hayes?  He was always one of my favorite characters.

I hope you all have a terrific February, since it is 'extra' long this year!!!

According to Soaps.com Bill Hayes taped some shows up into Dec. his last airing will be on July 11 , the day of Susans real life 81st bday, it is kind of a tribute to her on this day, the final time we will see him.

When did Statesville become a Federal prison?

@MamaWick Getting ready to get to my perch to watch today's show.  If you stop and do the math, just about everyone in Salem has been incarcerated and held at Statesville!!!  Like there's no other prison anywhere else?!!  And rarely is there ever a guard!!  I'm too busy, though, reading the signs on the walls looking for spelling errors.  One used to say, "vistation."  I hope today's show keeps me awake.

Stefan called it a Federal prison. I'm pretty sure it is a state prison because the Governor had commuted sentences. Just one of those things, Barbi, like the knobs on the stove that we catch.

Everyone goes to Statesville except of course for Lani who somehow ended up out of state on a state charge.

@MamaWick   HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!  See Pigletsmom's comment, too.  I never picked up on these factoids.  Silly how so many Salemites have been in prison, on death row, slept with one another, had paternity and baby switches!!!  Can't forget how Sweet Bits keeps selling their goodies outside the store and never collects a dime.

They moved Lani out of state because all the prisoners in Statesville knew she was a cop.  The "reason" was for her safety.  Since she was leaving, and Eli was leaving, that's how they wrote both out.
