Alex Trebek is a brave man indeed and seems to not only be a devoted husband and father but loves his job as hosting jeopardy.  I pray for him and his family.  God Bless you, Alex.

Oh, I am watching jeopardy every night, even though they are reruns....but, this week they started showing the greatest of shows in the past, starting with the first jeopardy show that aied in 1984.  They are continuing these for awhile and I am enjoying them.  He sure is a handsome man, then and now.

I was just thinking about him the other day and what I thought was how crummy it is because of this whole Covid thing, that Alex will not be able to continue on as he was and may not have a final farewell as Jeopardy host.  In his condition, he cannot risk being around multiple contestants.  Unless he stays at his host station and interviews the guests from there.  No audience.

Seems after all his years that this just isn't how he'd want to go out, but there is no choice.  I do hope he gets a chance to do a final two weeks or so to say goodbye to his fans and bow out gracefully as he'd like.  Makes me sad.

I did read yesterday that he will return to hosting soon- with safeguards in place of course. He said it will be strange without the studio audience. He said it won't be hard for him and the contestants to socially distance. WE'LL just be glad to see him, and I don't think we'll notice much is different since we rarely see the audience.

We have lost way too many good friends to this particular disease, starting with one of our wedding ushers before he was 50. Some have fought it for a while. One of my good friends was diagnosed in September and gone in October. I admire him for fighting this, as many of you have already said, with courage and grace.

Valerie Harper was another one who defied the odds and lived much longer than expected.  I hope the same is true for Alex.  I'm sure that his attitude and support from others are helping him.

I am astonished by the grace, and dignity he has bravely portrayed in spite of his dreadful diagnosis and treatment. His intelligence, wit and charm has kept me tuning in for several decades now. I hold him and his family in prayer, and am hopeful for a positive outcome.🙏

I always remember, watching a great interview, with an oncologist.

He said the toughest and most important lesson, the hardest one to accept, had been learned, from his patients.

He said he had learned, that death is not always, the enemy. When the battle has been long and tough, and it's a battle, that won't be won, when the patient is exhausted, when the fight is gone, and they long for peace, and to be with family and friends, in their final time,  death can actually, come, as a welcome friend.

Bless his heart, Alex May be approaching that point.  Whatever his course, I wish he and his family peace.
