Why does this take so long?  The incident happened how many months ago??  Someone had to be blamed.  Not surprised.

Good.  I hope he does spend some time behind bars.  I don't think very highly of him, but that is beside the point.  Not only do I think he pulled the trigger, he was in charge on that movie set.

@CANDLEQUEEN    Wow, your paper is fast.  The Santa Fe DA was supposed to release a written statement at 9am.  It's now 9:40am MST.  Haven't even heard anything on Albuquerque TV station.

Alec Baldwin has good attorneys and a boatload of money.  Somehow, he will slither out of this decision, like a snake.

CNBC

Baldwin and the movie’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, each will be charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter.

One of the counts is for involuntary manslaughter, in which prosecutors will have to prove there is underlying negligence, prosecutors said. This is a fourth-degree felony that carries a sentence of up to 18 months in jail and a $5,000 fine.

The second charge is involuntary manslaughter in the commission of a lawful act, a more severe charge which requires proof that there was more than simple negligence involved in a death, prosecutors said. This charge includes a firearm enhancement, which adds a mandatory penalty of five years in jail.

Baldwin and Gutierrez-Reed will be charged under a standard called “charged in the alternative.” If the case ends up going to trial, a jury will determine which of the two charges they’re guilty of.

“Rust” assistant director David Halls signed a plea deal for the charge of negligent use of a deadly weapon, resulting in a suspended sentence and six months of probation.

I could not believe what he did after the incident.  Going on vacation with his family and boasting about it, having yet another child, the interview where he denied all liability.  He has no class and the hugest ego in Hollywood.

LOL.  Did  you know that "conjugal visits" are a feature in some prisons?  If (I'm about 99% sure it will never happen), Baldwin is incarcerated, he will be well taken care of.
