Allegedly, she was going at a high rate of speed when she rammed her car into the first house.  People ran to her aid and tried to get her out of the car but she put the car in reverse and sped off, proceeding on to her second crash.

She was with Degeneres for a long time before they broke up. Apparently it was Ellen's idea to break up, not hers. We can only speculate as to what happened yesterday where she was so badly injured by crashing her car. I thought she was a very talented actress and thought she was so cute, especially when she wore her hair in a pixie cut. Sounds like she has had major, long-standing mental issues and drug problems for most of her life if she had problems 22 years ago and she is now 53. Prayers she fully recovers and can get whatever help she needs.  Her story is very sad.

Sorry but I have no sympathy for her. She could have killed or permanently disabled someone with her reckless behavior. Criminal charges should be brought against her for her irresponsible behavior.

@BlueFinch   Yes, thank you.  I googled her after I wrote my post.  I've been familiar with her and her mental illness for years but was, somehow, unaware of her father's actions.
