Yeah, @GingerPeach, what I find visually in a place like that, is the treat for the senses--  the plush, cozy surfaces juxtaposed with the smooth, hard ones, and the unexpected uses of color....   fun!

 

It'll be interesting to see if you think it fits with the movie couple.  If I'm remembering right, the Stockard Channing and Donald Sutherland characters were supposed to be a bit pretentious, yet be true appreciators of art at the same time...

 

Oh, the textiles knocked me out too, the exquisite bed coverlet, and the brief closeups of those deco-type curtains...
