I wonder why TNT is ending the show.  It is their highest rated show.

Usually...

1 - show has run its course

2 - main characters have other projects in the works

3 - main characters are "tired of the grind."

5 - show is getting to expensive/advertisers dropping out.

6 - characters don't want to renew contract.

7 -  characters want to take a loooooooog rest to enjoy their $$$$ & the residual $$$$ that will follow

8 - writers have writers block

9 - All of the above Smiley LOL

It just dawned on me that my DVR hasn't been copying it!

Has it been on recently?  I saw one or two episodes but that's all?

Just found it on my DVR and it just hasn't been on since the last time I watched it!  It is set to DVR it tomorrow night.

Actually, I heard from a writer friend that the network wants to attract a different audience share and offer a different genre of show.

@Tinkrbl44  @Mz iMac   @culebra   That's the same spiel that was given when TNT canceled Rizolli & Isles last year. At that time R&I and Major Crimes were their two highest rated shows. Then they canceled Murder in the First and before that Perception, both shows that were holding their own. Not sure what TNT is looking for but it's almost guaranteed that whatever they replace these shows with won't be the same quality as the shows they threw away.

We really enjoy the show but I wish Brenda would come back for one last episode! We have seen Fritz and I would love to see her too!

I do love the show, I'm sorry that this is the last season.  But I hate Rusty character, it takes over so much of the show.  I hoped that the Rusty soap opera was over but apparently not.

I love Major Crimes. However, this is the last season and then its finished. Sad. All the good shows on TNT were cancelled by new network executives.

They had to have Rusty in the show just to bring Sharon some soup! I wonder how he has time to hang around the police station all day. He needs a full time job. I think he was brought on the show to humanize the Raydor character but he has long outlived his usefulness.
