For those of you who watched this program, Billy Brown has died. He was 68 years old and died of a seizure.

It apparently was sudden.

I read this online a couple of days ago. How sad for his family.

I do feel sorry for the family losing a Husband and a Father.  

This reality show  was so phony...they never really did all all the things portrayed on the show...never really lived in the outback while filming...you can google this and read several articles on how fake it all was. Made for good reality fodder though.

I feel bad for the family however he was another one just like Matt Roloff - he had all the grand ideas but it was up to the family to make them happen at his direction.

How sad for his family. Billy had such a sad life before he met his wife. I hope he is with his mother, father and sister now. 
My husband loves this show even though he laughs at how fake it is. I don't find fake reality shows entertaining. And this bunch seems so unable to do almost everything they attempt to do.

I love shows about Alaska but this one was so phony, I'd never watch it.
