LOL ... but if you're experiencing that problem, you may not "want" to think about it, but you definitely WILL think about it.

That Lume ad is pretty funny to me to but I have a teenage boy sense of humor.
I think most people know that a significant number of people just fast forward through commercials, so the best chance to have people watch them is to do something eye-catching, and make people stop the fast forwarding.

This one is horrible, only to be topped with one showing the sanitary pad test done with red dye vs blue, mentioning blood several times, with a long leggy redhead in white slacks straddling a chair. and, of course, pushy and obnoxious Amy Schumer as the fairy princess of feminine products rescuing a clueless gal, lecturing her to, "go up a size" if her tampon "hurts" when she pulls it out. Come on!!!! Too much realism is NOT a good thing. Next there will be showing of actual used pads and tampons.
dee
I cannot stand that one with Amy Schumer. She is definitely not a favorite on mine. I agree that we do not need to see the everyday facts of life projected on our TV screens nightly.
I often think I'm glad I'm married and not having to date. Can you imagine how embarrassing it would be to be sitting on the couch with a guy that you have just began to date and having some of those commercials come on the screen?
@GoneButNotForgotten LOL! Not embarrassing at all. If the two people dating are adults surely they know the parts of the human body and how they function (knowledge not just married people have).
If it's younger teenagers dating, then I suppose there could be some embarrassment and snickers at the commetcials. But causing embarrassment to adults who are single and dating even if they don't know each other well? I don't think so.
@Pearlee I believe you've inadvertently tagged the wrong person. I don't want @GoneButNotForgotten to take the flak for my comment. I still believe that even if we are adults certain commercials like the Lume one and the other one where the woman is shaving her private area might be uncomfortable depending on how modest you are.
LOL Modest? Modesty has nothing to do with this.
I think many are forgetting that a massive amount of advertising was in every newspaper and magazine for many decades. These days, many people get most of their news online, so what's left for advertisers? TV commercials, that's what.
If you think certain products shouldn't be advertised on TV, where EXACTLY should these products be advertised? I'm dying to know what you would consider an "acceptable" place for a 30 second commercial.

Oh, the horrors!😆 😄 😂
If it's for Phexxi and the same commercial I'm thinking about, it makes me think she's living in hers.

I find it hilarious that the commercial can say "v@G!N∆", but that word, a clinical name for a body part, isn't allowed here!😄😆
Just an observation!

Well we can't refer to Richard Van D*ke as he is commonly known either. No big deal.

It appears that QVC's censoring software automatically deletes certain words, regardless of the context or usage in a sentence. Disallowing the nickname for Richard is a good example.

@Tinkrbl44 : Even if you have that problem and you think about it doesn't mean you want to broadcast it so that everyone else thinks about it!

@Pook wrote:All these commercials that some find "distasteful" are just addressing real issues so why sweep them under the carpet and ignore them like years gone by where cigarette commercials were rampant that encouraged so many kids to start smoking with no complaints! Now that was disgusting!!
cigarette commercials or even alcohol ads in NO WAY can compare to these disgusting and inappropriate commercials...If cigarette ads led to kids to smoke one can only imagine what these disgusting commercials will lead kids to do..FAR WORSE!!!..🙄😫
Since they've gone that far pretty soon they will be showing REAL diarrhea, REAL vomiting, and "the act" including detailed actual no holds barred performances of before and after stories of "ED"....🙄😣.... That may be fine for some, but NOT for me and many others.....Madison Ave and sitcom writers both seem fixated on bodily functions --- reminds me of juvenile styled bathroom humor of 10 yr olds ...its either that or risque unfunny humor...
