Re: A movie re-run you can't stop watching

I found The Buccanners on youtube free after loving Downton so much.  It also delt with American girls who married into houses where the wealth was mostly the house and grounds.

The series follows four young ladie's lives.  It features beautiful manors, grounds, clothes, and the social challenges associated with the time.

There are several episodes I love.

@Judaline Yes, I remember that well. That movie managed to build tension and the sense of menace beautifully. I remember literally holding the edge of my seat near the end, when the police officer was questioning Phil, hoping and praying he wouldn't be believed.

I don't think this movie could be made today. The studio would be picketed just for putting a garter snake in a matchbox.

I want to add to my list:

Night of the Hunter

Pi

The Virgin Spring

Blow Out AND Blow-Up

Quadrille (the remake of the Guitry film, in French)

Legally Blonde and Legally Blonde 2.  Love Elle Woods and Bruiser!

Am I the first to mention Forrest Gump?  I loved that movie.

Dead Poets Society. Robin should have got Oscar for that.
