Some Picnic trivia:

 

I learned today the 1955 movie was based on the 1953 Broadway play by William Inge. The play not only won the Pulitzer Prize for Best Drama, it also served as Paul Newman's acting debut and as the storyline for two operas.

@PickyPicky3  I don't know how old you are, but I am in my early 70s, so maybe I'm in your parents' generation. I saw "Picnic" in the movies when I was 7 years old and I loved it then and still do now. That last shot of Millie's bus and Hal's train at the end gets me every time!
