there is a documentary about Gone With The Wind in which they show
the screen tests of some of the other candidates for Scarlett ...when you
see them it is clear how genius it was to cast Vivien Leigh in that part ...
I've seen it and isn't it sad to see how happy she was at this time? You have to think, 'what happened?' I think what she did with Scarlett has its place in history.

Beloved Mother suffered for years. Patty Duke another case. Growing up with maniac episodes and desperate depression not knowing why or what the cause needless to say differcult. Mom brilliant business woman along with model. Illness sadly took its toll on her in the end even though she received proper medical care she died way before needed. Miss her so very much.

Its really sad when you see the difference in her when she played Scarlet
versus later on in her career when she played " The Roman Spring of Mrs.
Stone "

You beat me to it!
I had just recently seen the Seinfeld episode when Elaine got high on pain killers when she hurt her neck sleeping on Jerry's parents' hidebed, and circumstances came up where she kept blurting out STELLAAAAA!
