I saw it this weekend and thought it was good, but not great. Bradley Cooper was a fabulous surprise, but I felt that (as the director), he added too many stories and characters that made the movie too long. We all know the story, so we didn't need the extras of her father and friends - they added nothing. Also, while it is always good to see Sam Elliott, the brother story line was not necessary to me, and also added time. I know that when I saw how long the movie was, I was wondering why it was so long. Now I know.

 

I am going to listen to the soundtrack again before I decide if I need to have it. But, I did enjoy the chemistry between the leads.

Saw it last week. All I can say is WOW. There better be Academy Awards for Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. One of the best movies I've seen in a long time.
